Big thanx to R. Boogie for thinking of us during her travels
R. Boogie Snaps La Mission (The Mission District)
My girlfriend has the luxury of traveling to all corners of the globe for work. She typically frequents Australia and Hawaii a couple times a year but a current assignment enabled her to visit a deeply rooted section of western America: La Mission, San Fransisco.
If you are unfamiliar with The Mission District of San Francisco, this neighborhood has some serious cultural roots and history. The Yelamu Indians inhabited the Mission District for over 2,000 years and the area has been the bearer of successes and failures dating back to the Mexican-American War and American Gold Rush, giving the area a cultural one-stop-shop for one-of-kind art and history.
For the next few days we’ll be posting some snapshots of this amazing city right in America’s own back yard.
